Overtime formula (simple estimate)
Overtime pay is estimated as: (Base Monthly Salary ÷ Days per Month ÷ Hours per Day) × Overtime Hours × Multiplier. By default, days per month = 30 and hours per day = 8, but you can adjust these in Advanced settings if your company uses different assumptions.
Example calculation
If your basic salary is AED 12,000 and you worked 12 overtime hours at 1.5x, using the default 30 days and 8 hours, your hourly rate is 12,000 ÷ 30 ÷ 8 = AED 50. Overtime pay = 50 × 12 × 1.5 = AED 900.
